We recently launched another important collaboration with the American Heart Association to enhance the delivery of life saving care for children — AHA PALS. Kids don’t get very sick that often (fortunately) but when they do it can be a very unnerving situation given how precious their young lives are and how rare clinicians respond to such events. AHA PALS is a digital solution for clinical decision support to free up and enhance clinicians’ cognitive abilities to focus on the most important aspects of care. This digital solution contains Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) protocols, drug therapy/dosing, timers, logging feature, and a great metronome to time compressions. Our favorite section is the “Critical Care References,” which contains all sorts of useful clinical info that is rarely used but so crucial when needed. All content is, of course, vetted and endorsed by the AHA and kept up-to-date (link). It has already begun to reach across the U.S. and many countries. Our greatest hope is that it assists in further enabling the highest quality life-saving care for kids across the globe.
